Meeting of the Minds - Parrot Heads in Paradise Comes to Flora-Bama

MOTM (Meeting of the Minds) is the PHiP (Parrot Heads in Paradise) convention held annually during the end of October and beginning of November. While previously hosted in New Orleans and Key West, the new home of MOTM has moved to the Gulf Coast and headquartered in Gulf Shores, Alabama for 2023 from October 24th - October 29th. It is open to any member of a PHiP sanctioned Parrot Head Club covering several days and nights of friendship, fun, food and great music, with a few optional meetings and seminars thrown in the mix.

With Jimmy Buffet's passing on September 1st of this year, the Parrot Head fan base is still mourning the loss of such a beloved cultural icon and will be for many years to come. Buffet created a lifestyle that spoke to his fans in a way that created a loyal following who shared the same free spirit, sense of adventure and a laid back lifestyle he sang about in every song. 

Flora-Bama is proud to be a part of Meeting of the Minds this year. Also, a special ticketed show will occur Sunday, October 29th on the Flora-Bama Tent Stage with Grammy winner Kristian Bush of the country duo Sugarland. This is your chance to catch Kristian in a rare, small stage appearance, and be a part of the stories and songs from his latest solo album "Drink Happy Thoughts" (among others) in a listening room environment.
