The Gulf Coast's 'Funnest' Fishing Tournament Returns June 5-7
Fish from a boat, beach, dock or even a kayak.... there's something for everyone in this tournament!
Come make the ‘funnest’ memories with your family and friends at the Flora-Bama’s 13 th annual
Fishing Rodeo! Whether you are a serious offshore angler chasing red snapper or bringing the
kids out to catch blue crab, there is something for everyone during this fun weekend on the
water. With over 30 fishing categories and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, anglers of
all ages have the chance to compete, celebrate, and enjoy everything the Flora-Bama Fishing
Rodeo has to offer.
The 2026 Fishing Rodeo officially opens Friday, June 5th at 12AM and closes Saturday, June 6th
at 6PM. Fishers can fish anywhere between Cape San Blas, Florida and the Texas/Louisiana
border. Competitors do not have to sign out from any specific location before heading out.
Competitors can weigh their fresh catches Friday and Saturday from 2PM - 6PM at the Ole River
Grill Beach Area. Boats that cannot fit underneath the Ono Island Bridge are asked to bring their
fish in by vehicle. Anglers must be in line by the closing time for their catch to qualify.
Along with the tournament, guests can enjoy a full three-day beach party atmosphere complete
with live music, fresh seafood, vendor booths, drinks, hospitality, and waterfront views done in
true Flora-Bama fashion. Families and friends are all encouraged to come out and experience
the excitement of the weigh-ins while watching incredible catches come in from across the Gulf
Coast. The Fishing Rodeo is more than just a tournament, it is a celebration of Gulf Coast
fishing, community, and summertime traditions that brings anglers and families together year
after year.
Tickets for the rodeo can be purchased online through Thursday, June 4th at 11:59PM. All
participants must enter either the kid division or the adult division. Kids are allowed to compete
in the adult division with an adult ticket, but adults may not compete in the kids division. For
online purchases, participants should print their confirmation email or have it ready to show on
their phone at the weigh station.
