Flora-Bama Participates in Alabama Coastal Cleanup

The state’s largest one-day volunteer coastal cleanup event, Alabama Coastal Cleanup, returns for its 37th year on Saturday, Sept. 21. Flora-Bama is a host site again this year, participating as one of 25+ locations for beach cleanup. The event runs from 8am to noon and all volunteers, residents, visitors and businesses are invited to join together in this community event to help clean Alabama's most valuable asset, our gorgeous beaches. Everyone who participates in cleaning the beach at Flora-Bama will receive a free meal from the Flora-Bama Oyster Bar. Over the years, 110,448 volunteers have participated in cleaning 6,939 miles of Alabama's coastline and removed 1,779,911 pounds of trash from the beaches and coastal areas.
