Celebrate the 4th of July at the Flora-Bama Freedom Run

Start your Independence Day with red, white, blue, and a whole lot of Flora-Bama fun at the 6th Annual Flora-Bama Freedom Run on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This patriotic race is the perfect way to kick off the holiday, whether you're a serious runner, casual walker, family group, or just looking for a festive way to celebrate America at the beach.

Choose Your Course

The Freedom Run features two race options:

4-Mile Run/Walk
Participants will begin on the north side of Perdido Beach Boulevard, head west toward Perdido Pass Bridge, go underneath the bridge, and return to Flora-Bama on the south side of Perdido Beach Boulevard.

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
This shorter course is perfect for families, kids, beginners, or anyone looking for a relaxed patriotic stroll. Participants will head west for a half mile, turn around, and finish back at Flora-Bama.

Dress in Your Best Red, White & Blue

From flags and festive socks to bows, tutus, hats, and patriotic T-shirts, participants are encouraged to go all out. The goal is simple: make this run scream America.

Registration includes a race shirt, guaranteed to the first 400 registrants, patriotic swag, and food and drink at the post-race party. All Fun Run participants will also receive a finisher medal after crossing the finish line. Awards will be given for 1st place in all categories.

Registration & Packet Pickup

Registration is open now for both race options.

Packet pickup will take place on Friday, July 3 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM underneath the tent inside Flora-Bama. Please note there will be no packet pickup after the race.
