Mark Sherill

Mark has been writing songs for 30 years. Sherill says that songwriting and fishing are his favorite pastimes. In a recent interview he stated, “when the fish ain’t biting, I’m writin.” Mark has cuts with George Jones, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Hoyt Axton, Tanya Tucker and Blake Shelton just to name a few. NSAI’s Professional Songwriters Division honored Sherill with 2002 Achievement Award (informally dubbed “The Songs I Wish I’d Written”) for “Ol’ Red,” co-written with Don Goodman and James Bohon.
