I was on vacation and decided to check out Flora-Bama Lounge with 3 buddies of mine on August 1st. We were blown away by the talents of Nick Branch and Guthrie Trapp. Amazing sounds from 2 guys who just were so into what they were doing. Nick is a class act both on guitar and vocals as well as a crowd worker and in all my many years of playing and watching music, I don't believe I've ever seen a more accomplished guitar player as Guthrie Trapp.We had a great time there and I will be looking for these guys whenever they come to Louisiana. We also loved the atmosphere of the lounge. Don't ever let progress take this place away.

Hey guys, Richard Johnston will be on a tour of Florida from November 1st to the 10th. Tampa,Ft. Lauderdale (sound advice fest), Lake Worth, Miami and Key West so far. This is his first year but has recorded with Theresa Anderson and has opened for David Allen Coe,N.R.B.Q, Dr. John (who asked Richard to work with him on his next album),Monte Montgomery,Galatic,The Meters, Astral Project and the North Mississippi Allstars twice in November. Of course he can stay out as long as he has gigs. Do you have any interest? He's an endorsee of Peavey equipment!! My husband Sean, and I met at the Florabama 2 years ago on April 25, 1999. I lived in Indiana at the time and he lived in Dallas. We kept up a long distance relationship and were engaged by New Years Day 2000. We were married on October 21, 2000. Thanks Florabama for taking what I thought was just a relaxing getaway with one of my girlfriends and instead helping me to find the man of my dreams!! We're planning a trip back there maybe this October for our 1 year anniversary. We'll definitely stop back in to reminisce.

Had a blast every night me and my "people" partied at the Fora~Bama. A couple of high falootin folks my group thought it was a bit too 'neck for them but the rest of us fit right in. The ladies were (for the most part) friendly and the staff was terrific, serving drinks up as fast as we could knock 'em down.(that means really fast since we are professional stunt drinkers) Also, your liquor store saved us the day after we arrived. We sure didn't know that you couldn't buy alcohol in AL on Sundays. After that experience we decided that we were going to make up a catchy slogan for you since you saved us from a "dry" Sunday. The comment from a good lookin woman in a bikini (billboard or TV commercial).... "The Flora~Bama makes me wet even on Sundays"

We are now on our 5th Annual Gulf Shores vacation. We always go to the Florabama at least one or two nights during our two - three night vacation and have never been disappointed. Look forward to seeing you all again this year on May 19, 20 or 21!
