mike downes we have visited the florabama every time we have vacationed at gulf shores. it has been the high- light of our visit every time we have been there. we look forward to our next visit , which accidentally falls during sand fest(which was great last time around). looking forward to the visit!!!!!! Larry Southworth I was at the FB Thursday, June 22, 2000 with friends from KY. Spent a week at Gulf Shores. This was a highlight! Damnedest place I've been! We walk in and within 10 minutes a girl at the bar moons the entire back of the afternoon music bar...... She wanted to again, the boyfriend steps in. Clay Been comming to the Flora-B for at least 20 years or so. Have had some wonderful times there, dancing on the tables, and sometimes under the tables. Love the entertainers, especially Rusty, Gove, and Ricky Whitley. What's nice about the F-B is the mixture of people. Locals, Northerners, Southerners, rednecks, young and old, bikers, yuppies, wealthy, etc. Everyone gets along and has a great time, and people are left alone (no hassles, mate!) I've had many good times there, but also many that I can't remember. A close friend of mine once told me "The F-B is one of those places where when you leave, you'll want to wipe your feet". I can't think of a better compliment. - Clay
Tarah Hello all at the Flora-Bama! I just want to say that I had the time of my life there on Saturday June 17th! Unexpectedly, nice person who didn't care that I was only 18 and went to LSU. He was so fun to be with and I love a guy who loves to dance! The band that I heard was great. I am sad now because I don't know the guy's last name or his address to keep in touch! What was I thinking when we said goodbye! I haven't stopped thinking about the fun I had and that guy. If anyone knows him, please let me know. His name is Mickey and he attends U of A in Tuscaloosa! Was there when the US Enterprise was in Pensicola. Met alot of the crew members. Flora-bama is so deceiving, you think its this little place hole in the wall, and when you get in there, its really big with all the bar rooms and many people enjoying theirselves. Its was a great experience. Everyone has to visit the Flora-bama just once in their life. Thanks for the memories Flora-bama!!!! Della Williamson I am coming for July 4th week and did not see the schedule of musicians listed. Is it pretty close to Ft. Morgan? Dana Have been to Perdido Key for the last 2 summers and I have never set foot in Florabama. I recently learned from a good friend who visits Perdido Key and Florabama yearly, that I don't know what I've been missing! I will be arriving on July 22,2000 and I plan to come there my first night.
