I have enjoyed the FloraBama club on at least 20 visits. The mullet toss and just drop-ins. We live about 400 miles away and are currently planning our April trip. We have heard that the club has been sold and torn down to make room for condos. Please let me hear from you on this matter, which has become a fairly widespread idea in central Mississippi.

Flora~Bama is my favorite place to get away. You just can't beat it. My friends and I even plan a yearly trip in January on Martin Luther King weekend, because we get a long weekend with Monday off from college at The University. Yeah, Flora~Bama!!!!

WE HAD THE CHANCE TO SPEND TIME AT THE FLORABAMA LAST WEEK WHILE VACATIONING IN ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA. WE MUST ADMIT, WE ARE TEMPTED TO OPEN SOMETHING COMPARABLE ON THE ILLINOIS WISCONSIN BORDER HERE WHERE WE ARE LOCATED (MAYBE CALL IT "WISCINOIS". HA HA!! NOT SURE WE COULD COMPARE THO, AS FLORABAMA WAS ONE OF MORE UNIQUE PLACES THAT WE VISITED. THE MUSIC ON THAT NITE WAS FUN AND UPLIFTING. Ran into a bunch of Flora-Bammers at a Buffet concert in Mobile last month. Initially was introduced to someone from there while serving onboard USS JOHN F KENNEDY in the Mediterannean Sea and we were in Monaco France drinking at a place called the Stars and Stripes Bar (Austrialian owned). A 3 piece combo played great American Music on the sidewalk and it made the cruise that much easier. Just wanted to say thanks and sorry I didn't get a chance to say so at the concert but the parking lot was full (of everything imaginable). Thanks again.

I've only been able to visit 4 times this year and I'm having withdrawal symptons!
Wish I could be there for the Songwriter's Festival. I'm on my way to Europe to
spread the word about the Flora~Bama. I came down after hurricane Georges,
just to see what had happened. The surrounding area was torn up, but the
Flora~Bama was like the Enegizer Bunny, it just kept on going! Hardly any
damage to the Flora~Bama. Hmmm! Keep the best bar in the world up and running until I can
return in '99.
